Fruit of the Spirit

God gives every believer access to the fruit of his Holy Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These attributes become manifest in our thoughts, attitudes, words, motives, actions and reactions after we give God authority to align our lives with his principles and priorities.

Personal sins temporarily block access to the fruit until we confess our unrighteousness, claim his forgiveness and resume our walk with God. However, the longer we walk in close harmony with God, the more we will experience and emit these attributes.

The fruit of the Spirit can produce spiritual strength, comfort and contentment in any situation because its manifestation depends on the quality of our relationship with God rather than our circumstances.
