Christian doctrine is based on the historical facts surrounding the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus as well as his teachings.
Other major religions – Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. – are based on the teachings of their founders only. Their key doctrines do not hinge on the birth, life and death of their founder.
Jesus is the only founder of the world’s major religions who claimed to be God incarnate. Christianity would be reduced to a few platitudes without the historical confirmations of his deity. Some founders of other world religions claimed to be prophets but none said he was God himself.
Jesus fulfilled every Messianic prophecy in the Old Testament. No other person living or dead has fulfilled more than a fraction of them.
Jesus further validated his message and authority by healing the sick, raising several people from the dead and rising from the dead himself.
No founder of any other major religion validated his message and authority by performing miracles, rising from the dead or fulfilling ancient prophecies.
